The last retired General to run the Department of Defense was George C Marshall in 1950-1951, and he was only brought in for one very specific year. Thereafter the DoD has been headed by various business and political officials, with a smattering of institutionally academic military leaders.

Like Robert Strange McNamara - the Bill Lumbergh of Defense Secretaries.

McNamara has been described as a "fast talking con man" - and that is exactly what he was. A self-appointed "wiz kid" who took delight in tweaking the uniformed military's authority and holding press conferences in an attempt to dazzle everyone with his BS. A man who invented "metrics" to measure everything, believing war was a bunch of graphs and slopes of curves. Too bad his policies left a trail of widows, blood, shattered limbs, destroyed lives, and death in his egomaniac wake.

Then we had Chuck "Hungover" Hagel.

Quite possibly the worse SECDEF in US history.

It is fitting that Chuck was appointed by the worst President in US history - Barry Swishy Hussein Soetoro.

Hagel's first act in office was to deliver the most horrific "policy" speech since George Custer's battlefield motivation seminar. Chuck told the DoD it would be cut, demoralized, destroyed, and made irrelevant - and he was at least partly successful. He was so hung over at his confirmation hearing that even the Democrat Senators thought the nomination would be sunk. In the end, enough Obama yes men and women were corralled to vote "yea" for old Chuck. Rumor is Obama fired him because he was discovered to be Shi_ faced too many times.

I am convinced that PR Trump has been doing his research since that dinner in 2011 or 2013 or whenever that Obama spent a long time berating Trump at his seat in the audience full of dinner tables. I don’t know the event or the exact date, but I have seen a clip. Obama was downright nasty & I don’t know why at that particular time he was after Trump.

However, I think that dinner was the catalyst for Trump to start working on running for Prez.

I believe that he has/had a large number of patriots lined up to come forth & clean up this country & it’s criminal politicians.

He is not disappointing me.

However, I would like him to keep playing rope-a dope with Romney & then tell him “There are no more openings for you”......
