Destroying valuable items to keep make a political statement. They blame the items for the crimes. Typical "progressive"/midieval thinking.

The same foolish thinking allows them to burn millions of dollars of ivory.

It is not like thousands of new firearms are made every day.

Nothing like stupid government programs to keep ones prices high and in business.

Those stacks are staged. Guns could not be stacked like that, they are wired to wooden frames to male them look huge. How fake...

We were in Kenya a couple of years ago visiting game parks. Our guide was a very nice guy named Charles who told us he was a Christian. We got to talking about politics a bit and he got to talking about the region of Kenya that's near the Somali border. He said it was hell there...routinely being attacked by moslem savages from Somalia.

There really isn’t any dollar value that can be placed on those soon to be destroyed firearms, when they’re viewed as a means to protect the lives of villagers from the rape, murder, and enslavement of al shabaab.

"But the Kenya government does not trust the villagers with any guns, even single shot muzzle-loaders, let along AK47 rifles."

CLASSIC...A monkey shoots AK-47 machine gun in a group of soldiers.

This is exactly what the Kenyan in the White House wanted us to do so we could not protect ourselves. Thanks to Mr. Trump...it ain’t gonna happen.

According to the book THE WASHING OF THE SPEARS gun control in Africa began in South Africa in the 1880s when natives often worked for a full year just to get a “Birmingham gas pipe” musket.
The British government became so worried they demanded the guns be turned in for “registration”. When turned in those guns were instead confiscated. When the natives DEMANDED the return of the guns, they were returned in an inoperable condition.
