There you go, WENDLE.

Yes, by all means Trump family.  Eat up, drink the toasts, and enjoy yourselves.  You've given us much to feel Thanksgiving for.

Blest is the fruit of America's bounty!  May the treasures of what grows and lives on the our rich plains, skies, and seas be yours...

Directions

To make the Asian vinaigrette: Roughly chop the green onion and put in blender. Add the mustard and make a paste. Slowly add the peanut oil and sesame oil until smooth. Add the vinegar, chili sauce and honey, Add salt and pepper, to taste. Set aside.

To make the Asian salad: With a very sharp knife, shred the cabbages into thin strips approximately 3 to 4 inches long. Cut the green onions into thin slices. Using a regular kitchen grater, shred the carrots. Mix the cabbage, green onions and carrots together. Set aside.

To assemble: Toss the slaw with the dressing and set aside. In a martini glass, place coleslaw. Slice the tuna into pieces that are about 1 ounce each, approximately the size of a stick of gum. Place 2 to 3 slices on the coleslaw and garnish with diced or sliced avocado and a few daikon sprouts.

Tired of prepping food for days!

I've never understood all the freak out over holiday dinners. If someone only has one oven, make the pies and cornbread for the dressing the day before. First thing on Thanksgiving morning, the 20+ lb. bird goes into the oven, start the breadmaker for dough and then relax. About 10 or so, wander back into the kitchen to prep the sides. The bird comes out of the oven at 11 and the sides go in. At 11:40, the oven is free for a big pan of rolls. Dinner is served at noon.

When kiddo was in about 4th or 5th grade, I was sick in bed. She knew the routine and made the whole dinner from scratch all by herself. All she asked me was how much sage to use in the dressing. I told her when she thinks there's enough, double it. All she asked from Mr. b was to pull the hot turkey out of the oven. Dinner was perfect.

I can’t imagine ordering such. Eateries here consist of two burger drive thrus and a Subway. There’s no such thing as a deli or bakery. I was out of town a few days ago and grabbed celery for the dressing and Karo syrup for pecan pie because our one and only grocery store didn’t have celery last year and never has Karo.

Outstanding feast and beautiful, happy children! God's gifts certainly are a blessing.

Enjoy the kids while you can. Before you know it they're asking for the keys to the car, then its off to college, they find a meaningful career and they're gone.

God bless and have a Merry CHRISTmas!

P.S. That's a fine group of "Future Freepers" you've got there :o)

That routine sounds great! We had so many leftovers we will have Thanksgiving part II tomorrow. Even my 102 year old Mom, who lives with us had a great time too. We did not think she would make it to the table as she naps quite a bit. We all have so much to be thankful for. God has blessed us. May our new President MAGA.

How DARE they eat such decadent food at Thanksgiving when people in the slums of Chicago are eating dog food and grilled ratatouille (not so much rat, please)!

After reading this article, I need to find my safe space and have a little thumb-sucking session to calm my nerves.

Probably better than what the Obamas had to eat at the White House.

How wonderful you still have your MOM..

Today would have been my MOM'S 102 birthday..11/24/1914...She lived to be 85, and I miss her every day...

last night as I was chopping celery, onions, carrots and mushroom, I had tears running down my face, remembering Momma.as she always did the Holiday meals and in fact every Sunday dinner for so many years..

As we age, and our children grow wings and move to other States, our lives change, but we all seem to adjust. We live each day to the fullest and are always THANKFUL for what we have..

AND TODAY, BOTH HUBBY AND I SAID WE ARE SO THANKFUL TRUMP/PENCE WILL BE OUR NATIONS NEW LEADERS...

Give your dear MOM a hug from me...

Had to look up the recipe - no alcohol and looks delicious. More like a special appetizer in a martini glass.

Thanks for the info,folks.

When I sold my house and downsized I got rid of the old martini glasses———looks like I should have saved them.

U R Welcome. Learned something new here as well. As DJT doesn’t drink didn’t believe this martini to be the norm but more than likely an appetizer with a ‘different’ name. Now. we know :-)

Tonight I had those wonderful Thanksgiving leftovers, and shared them with my Doberman, Riley. Turkey and Ham, sweet potatoes and the best dressing I ever had. Yum!

Happy Day After Thanksgiving!
