A Trump spokesperson should make sure the American people know about this. We are talking about serious dollars here.
Denmark(who last week said they would make up their shortfall) alone is behind over $2 billion. Add in the other rich nations like Germany and Belgium and others and you are looking at well over $15 billion.

This is a big deal!

“two percent of their GDP”
==
The Euros are getting a great deal at only 2%. They can cough it up or keep spending it on bringing in more Muslims to rape and pillage their continent - and then be left with no one to save their bacon the next time they fall apart.

Besides the UK, Poland, Estonia, Greece, and the United States are the only members of the 28-country alliance meeting the 2 percent threshold. The US contributes the highest proportion of its GDP to the military block, some 3.61 percent, according to NATO’s 2015 Annual Report.

Some of the comments by Euro’s at that article are “total disconnect”. They think that being required to spend 55.4%* as much of their GDP as the US does, on defense, is unfair subjugation to some sort of Nazi madman. Others think this is to prop up US arms sales, when in fact, they are absolutely free to produce their own arms. (If they can’t do it, buy from the Ukraine!) They do not even consider, evidently, the US’ role in keeping non-Russian energy supplies and other commerce safely flowing to Europe.

*Strictly speaking, that % will likely drop, as Trump plans to rebuild US defenses. I do hope he injects more efficiency into the effort...
