This is just silly, really, all things considered. But Major Designers will be glad to become The First Lady's couterier. These third-tier 'designers' who are refusing to create gowns for Melania Trump were never in the running to begin with.
Just more MSM nincompoopery...

My wife remarked on the dress Ivanka wore when she spoke at the convention. It was from her own collection, sold, I think in Macy’s. Mrs S told me later that the dress sold out immediately online. I wonder how many of the Mooch’s boob belts are on the racks in Marshall’s gathering moths.

The Trump family is a nice looking family.
The media loves to beat up on them, but
for Barron's sake, I hope they treat his
mother with respect. Melania will be a
great first lady.

Many, many designers will be lining up to design for Melania.
When Michelle was in her first years as First Lady, some of us here on Free Republic had a field day with commenting on the clownish and mismatched outfits she wore.
I know the pictures are out there, but I remember the green shoes with a blue or purple dress, the boob belts that did not make sense, the inappropriate dresses for the occasion, the odd designs. It was shocking that a First Lady would go into public the way she often looked.
Some of her outfits later on were not bad, and she wore a few stunningly beautiful gowns along the way, but it was quite entertaining early on to see what she would wear next.

Judging from the tacky crap that Mooshelle wears, I imagine Melania laughed her head off at the thought of “boop belt” Theallet dressing her!

Youre not gonna get much more beautiful than Ivanka or Melania. Not to insult these ladies, but anything after the pimped orangutan will be a hugh step up!

I wonder if Melania needs some haute couture lingerie? I will design it and help her expertly fit it. ;-)

The most disrespectful clothing of the office of the presidency was when she was be-bopping off of air force one in a pair of short shorts, tank top and flapping shirt. Still pisses me off every time I see that picture. Can you imagine ANY other first lady dressed like a camping out 5th grader getting off of air force one?

Angelas, a designer boutique in Rye, N.Y., is angry about Theallets open letter to designers. Owner Angela Guitard sent Theallet an e-mail Monday morning calling the designers move a slap in the face to herself as a U.S. citizen, and said she would not carry her collection in her store.
I feel very strongly that he [Donald Trump] won the election, he is our president-elect and you have to respect who the people voted for, Guitard told WWD. She said she would drop any designers who refuse to dress Melania Trump. She said she hasnt heard back yet from Theallet, who has dressed First Lady Michelle Obama during the past eight years.
Guitard told WWD that she used to carry Theallets collection, but stopped carrying it about two and a half years ago. She said her husband is also French and has been in the country 25 years and became an American citizen last year. This was the first election he could vote in.

I don’t believe the future First Lady would say that. She has way to much class. Now if the role were reversed, that’s another story.

True - just using my imagination for my own amusement. Melania has far more class than I.
