LOL! If anything he threw down the gauntlet and sugar coated it in the name of being "polite". He's not naive and they understand exactly what he's saying.

Did you read the interview? He sounds like the NYT people are his only constituents. He needs to hire a press spokesperson real soon.

I expect Trump will do things that will please me, and will do things that will really piss me off. It's the nature of the beast. I'm supporting him because the things I think he'll do that I like are pretty important.

I always expected him to shift back to the center as president, and he's doing so pretty quickly. I just hope we conservatives wind up getting at least one or two things he promised. So far it's not looking good in that regard.

Join the growing queue of folks that haven’t been paying attention for the last 8 months and who keep having spasmodic “concerns” over Trump. Must suck to hate winning so bad you have to try to find some way to lose despite it.

Well, I just appreciate the meeting and I have great respect for The New York Times. Tremendous respect.

BS-ing them right from the beginning. I like that.

Trump wants to be liked and respected by these people. That’s not going to make many of us happy, but that’s the way it is.

I read the entire interview. All in all, it sounded very Trumpian.

Regarding the Hitlery investigations, I think he’s hedging because he’s trying to head off an Obama pardon (which by the way is an admission of guilt if she accepts it). How many times during the campaign have we heard Trump say that he’s not going to broadcast his strategy to ISIS? Countless. Same principle here. Besides, he didn’t say that Sessions, or whoever the AG turns out to be, will not continue the existing email and foundation investigations. I may be wrong, but I haven’t heard anything to the effect that the open foundation investigations had shut down.

I have told people for months that Trump was lining up people all over the country to come & work for him-—6 months to 8 years. He knows who is talented & he knows that running the country like a business is more important than running it like a kindergarten. Costs have to come down & debt has to be reduced. The PC crowd has to be put back into the bushes & every little whiney person who thinks they have a gripe will be told to grow up. Cowgirl Up, America, There is a new Sheriff in the White House & he has a very talented POSSE!!

I think he has lined up a very large number of people to place in supervisory & oversight locations who are skilled beyond the usual suspects. I think he has worked on this for a very long time, and didn’t even declare his candidacy until he thought he had support to turn to in Jan 2017. I am sure he swore these people to secrecy & they are prepared to come & do Patriotic duty for the USA & it’s LEGAL citizens.

Fasten your seat belts, MSM & Dems. It’s going to be a bumpy ride for all of YOU.

I don’t worry too much about it. Trump will just have the building condemned and he will put up apartments. Probably has the floor plans to the new Trump City that will sit where the UN once was.

Interesting that Democrats are never asked about the extremists that support them.

It is a betrayal to his supporters if he doesn’t pursue Clinton. No one says he has to spear head it. Get the AG to investigate and decide if its worth pursuing - at least. You can’t say she should be in jail, and then just let her off the hook.

They were obsessed with the topic. I think he was as nice as he could be without calling them liars and idiots. Made it clear that it is NOT a settled science.

This bit I found ridiculous. Pure speculation. We have no idea how the international community would deal with the US pulling out of Paris.

SHEAR [interrupts]: And if the reaction from foreign leaders is to slap tariffs on American goods to offset the carbon that the United States had pledged to reduce, is that O.K. with you? And then the second question is on your sort of mixing of your global business interests and the presidency. There’s already, even just in the 10, two weeks you’ve been president-elect, instances where you’ve met with your Indian business partners …

I’m so sick of bullshit like this. The left has managed to create a boogeyman that doesn’t exist the alt-right. And there is nothing anti-semitic about Breitbart. God.

DAVIS: But you are aware, sir, with all due respect, that African-Americans and Jews and many folks who disagree with the coverage of Breitbart and the slant that Breitbart brings to the news view him that way, aren’t you?

I love this exchange:

UNKNOWN: Mr. President-elect, I wanted to ask you, there was a conference this past weekend in Washington of people who pledged their allegiance to Nazism.

TRUMP: Boy, you are really into this stuff, huh?

PRIEBUS: I think we answered that one right off the bat.
Interactive Feature: Trump Tower, the Center of the Political Universe

UNKNOWN: Are you going to condemn them?

TRUMP: Of course I did, of course I did.

PRIEBUS: He already did.

UNKNOWN: Are you going to do it right now?

TRUMP: Oh, I see, maybe you weren’t here. Sure. Would you like me to do it here? I’ll do it here. Of course I condemn. I disavow and condemn.

“I’d rather do the popular vote from the standpoint — I’d think we’d do actually as well or better — it’s a whole different campaign. It’s like, if you’re a golfer, it’s like match play versus stroke play. It’s a whole different game.”

You gotta love Trump.

“I sign checks, I’m the old-fashioned type. I like to sign checks so I know what is going on as opposed to pressing a computer button, boom, and thousands of checks are automatically sent. It keeps, it tells me what’s going on a little bit and it tells contractors that I’m watching”

This is great insight into the leader Trump can be.
