I understand the distinction you make, I simply don’t think it is significant.

Especially since women in combat units is the end goal, in my opinion, and the Israelis abandoned that a long time ago.

This is a false flag. They will not be allowed to carry UNLESS their commander approves it and only for maximum of 90 days. They must have a CCW permit for the county the base is in. Try getting one in a blue state. Who in their right mind is going to go through all of the crap every 90 days on the off chance that their commander will agree to them carrying concealed.
Neither I nor any other person should lose their right to carry a concealed weapon because they step foot on a military installation. The “leaders” claim that drunken shootings will multiply if people are allowed to carry. Sound familiar anyone?

I retired from Fort Hood, TX, as the Provost Sergeant Major, close to twenty years ago.

When and my name, etc are not important, but what is important is the fact that I was intimately aware of every crime reported on the largest military installation in the continental United States.

I can, without reservation, state, that for the period of time I speak of, there were no incidents wherein I feared for other soldiers lives at the hands of any other soldier, using a private or issued weapon.

We did have domestic situations involving firearms off-post and we did have suicides on post...no denial of that...but only one of them involved a firearm, with no one else around.

But our leadership was such that any budding nutball that may have been a threat to others was recognized very quickly and dealt with efficiently and effectively.

The leadership in the United States Army today is not allowed to deal with their soldiers in a manner that would accomplish what we were able to do in those days.

We need to get rid of the panty-waist liberal ring-knockers that strive for personal career above service to country and their fellow and subordinate soldiers and that subscribe to this "diversity above all" crap.

God help me, but I do not believe that unfettered access to weapons by some of the loons currently on active duty is a smart thing.

The homosexuals are so damned militant now, that if they had access to firearms in some situations, I truly believe they would murder any and every superior that counseled against their perverted life style.

And believe me, this is not a case of "well, when I was in the Army" bullshit.

It is the truth.

We dealt with the chubby-cheeked little turds like Bradley Manning, we dealt with the treasonous pieces of shit like Bergdahl.

And then, "I did not have sex with that woman" Clinton and Buttcrack Hussein Yomama came along.

Take it from there.

The Trump Effect continues.

At this rate, Obama himself will repeal Obamacare.

U.S. military personnel can now request to carry concealed handguns for protection at government facilities, according to new Defense Department directive issued last week in response to a series of deadly shootings over the last seven years, and the pending inauguration of President Trump....

The IDF had women in combat in the 48 war. Hell they had everybody in combat and afterwards decided it was a bad idea. In 73 thet started pulling civilians and female soldiers at bde level and higher off the Golan Heights the day before the war started. The female soldiers were not happy about this decision. As i mentioned they now are experimenting with females in a combat unit.

Well, one can’t blame the Israelis for doing it, if we were being invaded, we would probably do much the same. I just don’t think it is effective or wise to do it unless we were in extremis.

If we go against a dedicated foe, they won’t be experimenting with women in combat, they won’t be doing it, and we are going to be on the short end of a stick, IMO.
