Tired of the media focus on whether Clinton will be investigated. This needs to occur, especially the Clinton Foundation! Media is affair, I suspect, as the are involved.
Afraid, not affair. The have those as well. But media is in bed with Clintons and likely to get sucked into any charges they might face.
From what I’ve read, it looks like Trump is saying he won’t push for any further investigation. He didn’t say anything about interferring if someone else, like Congress or the DOJ want to.
I have to say that Kellyanne Conway an the Trump staff has to stop using the word fairness. Fairness, balance and centrist are all bad words to describe the press. Kellyanne looks like a baby when she asks for fairness. What she should be asking the press for is honesty, journalism, and respect for the viewers/readers.
The press has clearly lost respect for the American people. Trump is the champion of the middle class. So, its right for him to point out that the press no longer cares about their audience. They are just trying to persuade, not inform their audience. When Joe American and his wife turn on the news. They want honesty. They want to be informed. And they get angry when they are being used, when they are being manipulated.
So, Kellyanne if you are listening. The word Fairness is out. Fairness sounds like its all about Trump. Honesty, Journalism and respect for the audience. Trump does not mind a tough reporter. But he cant stand a liar.
Trump should not get involved with cleaning the sewers. He should appoint his AG Sessions. Sessions should appoint a special prosecutor and the special prosecutor should investigate all the crimes the Clintons have been involved in since they entered Public Service.
Nice. Clean surgically. And Trump can get on with the real issues.
The Godfather never “takes out a Rat” himself. That is what Button Men are for. :)
Actually, Kellyanne went on MSNBC later this morning and addressed that by saying that Congress will follow Trump's lead on this because he's the party leader now. It sure sounds like he's going to let HRC off the hook.
If this turns out to be the case, then my confidence in him is completely shattered.
Mine too. You cant campaign on “lock her up” and then say just kidding.
Congress has nothing to do with federal criminal prosecutions by the DOJ’s US Attorneys.
So, CBSN just tweeted video of President-elect Trump leaving the NY Times building, to a mixed chorus of cheers, jeers, and catcalls. smh
I didn’t know President could prosecute, where is that in constitution? His AG/FBI can and that is there discretion and not Trumps...
You make a good point about asking for honesty instead of fairness. Also, fairness is subjective, whereas honesty and truth are more objective. Objectivity is also a good goal.
Your approach to dealing with Hillary Clinton's criminality in your first 100 days in office will greatly influence my approach to filing tax returns for the rest of my life.
Good post.
Patience. He’s not even President yet and you are barking orders at him. Furthermore, there are timing issues.
“He didnt say anything about interfering”
Trump just rolled over for the MSM/NY Times on prosecuting the Clintons and on he Paris Climate agreement!! It is exactly what you are seeing... Reince Priebus told him not to meet with the Times...he went ahead anyway...
Trump just went rouge on all of us ( as well as the 3 people who got him where he is)...don’t try to make this ok with some talk about 3 dimensional chess...
KellyAnne Conway was blindsided by the Clinton statement when she was on MSNBC this morning...she had no idea that Trump had made the statement that he would back off the investigation...she played it the best she could...check out her words.
Trump made this decision himself behind the backs of Priebus, Conway and Bannon, and he stated that he doesn’t think his supporters would mind(think again Donald)..
You have a very good point there. The phrase I would add is "journalistic integrity."
