Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico says he expects a divorce between the European Union and Britain to be painful — for Britain.

Fico, whose country currently holds the EU’s rotating presidency, says the EU has to emerge as the more successful from negotiations about future EU-UK relations, because otherwise Brexit could set an example for other countries to follow.

Speaking to students on Tuesday, Fico asked: “Was it us who expelled Britain? Didn’t we do enough for it to stay?” …

Well, Fico will get no credit score from me. Brexit rocks. People need to control their own destinies, not let someone else’s decisions or mandates sink them.

At most it will be like getting a shot - might sting a little now, but prevents major pain later.

This guy is an idiot. The Brits will do as the Americans will do once they toss TPP. The Brits will negotiate bilateral contracts for trade between nations, exactly as has been done for thousands of years. The EU as a body might be able to levy some tariffs on trade as a punishment for withdrawal from the union, but it won't hold up. Free market economics will take precedence eventually. Money makes the world go 'round as I never tire of telling my students.

Globalists have been subverting the free market for decades. If they feel a trade war is in their interest, they won’t hesitate to pull one off. They’re already talking trade wars simply because Trump won, and one of their cards is that “climate change” lie. Just have to beat them by not playing their game.

Yeah, I just read that. I figure if we ignore them and conduct our business as we always have, it'll go away eventually.

Climate change (previously known laughably as global warming -- except God giggled and made it snow on every meeting) has been a device to control the masses since the 1970's. That and the myth of Peak Oil.

Britain has endured a Civil War, Napoleon, Hitler, and Bananarama.

Brexit is nothing compared to that.

This is how wars start. Britain has been kicking Europe’s face in since the year 1066 when it was taken over by the Normans who were actually French-speaking Vikings.

The reason why the Viking Normans spoke French was because when they invaded France and took over Normandy, they neglected to bring many of their own women. They took local French women for brides and concubines and it is mothers that primarily transmit culture and language to their children.

They didn’t have legalized “same-sex marriage” during any of those painful epochs.

"...Fico, whose country currently holds the EU’s rotating presidency, says the EU has to emerge as the more successful from negotiations about future EU-UK relations, because otherwise Brexit could set an example for other countries to follow..."

This is an interesting statement. Basically, this bureaucrat is going to do all he can to throw the UK in a dumpster for the sole purpose of making other countries who might consider leaving think twice about it.

Nothing about improving the EU, or anything. Just making something look bad.

Typical POS Eurobureaucat.

As much as I like my trips in to Bratislava the EU will miss Britain a lot more than it would miss Slovakia.
