I had read, 9 years ago, that Obama formed a committee to pick his Vice President . Two of the committee members were Caroline Kennedy and Arthur Oches Sulzberger Jr. they chose crazy Uncle Joe.
Then when Caroline wanted to be Senator from NY, she ended up dropping her interest in the job, rumor has it, because her affair with Sulzberger.
So Obama gave her the ambassadorship to Japan instead.
