The reason for the fear is the tsunami of coercive hate mail that Electoral College members are reporting from in states Trump has won, designed to get enough electors to switch their vote from Donald Trump to Hillary Clinton in order to change the obvious results.

Count stands at 306-232 Trump, a difference of 74. Clinton needs 38 to reach 270. She must flip 38 and if she does the vote must be certified by the House. Guess who controls the House?

Bottom line? Ain’t gonna happen.

Hillary needs 53 additional EVs to win. Trump needs to lose 37 to lose the Electoral College majority.

An incoming Republican Congress would not accept enough of these changes to affect the outcome. This is all just hypothetical, but Dems are signalling their brownshirts that threats and violence are OK.

Sort of like the Republican convention. The NeverTrumpers needed something like 28 to get special treatment, and they couldn't even get that number.

These Electoral College delegates are similar. If they jumped parties and cast their vote for the opposition, they would be drummed out of their local party. They would become pariahs. In most cases, their votes would be nullified by the House.

It is the Libs' final pie-in-the-sky dream to think they can convince 38 EC delegates to legally switch their votes to Clinton. Most switches would be illegal, and thus nullified, anyway.
