A leading Republican voice on national security matters said Saturday he doesn't care what President-elect Donald Trump says, the United States will not reinstate waterboarding.
Sen. John McCain of Arizona, chairman of the Armed Services Committee, said at the Halifax International Security Forum that any attempt to bring back harsh interrogation techniques such as waterboarding, which simulates drowning, would quickly be challenged in court. "I don't give a damn what the president of the United States wants to do or anybody else wants to do. We will not waterboard. We will not do it," McCain said to applause during a panel discussion.

McCain is a single issue hack. Surely there is something going on in Arizona that he could concern himself with.
I hope that Trump say that and MUCH more to McLame...a man who was NOT ever a “war hero”! Trump was correct about that, the first time ‘round.
That’s good news for ISIS and al qaeda members...not for us
Oh yes it will, John. You just won’t hear about it.
McCain. Still trying to be relevant in 2002.
there’s something about Jeb Bush, John McCain, and Hillary Clinton in common.
LOW ENERGY.
Look John, we are calling you back up. You will be a test subject for what is acceptable levels of physical encouragement to tell us the truth. That or you can retire your dry crusty nasty ass.
2002????
Yawn. fine. Pliers... fingernails...
McCain is only telling us what he really wants for fivve years and nine months when he is a liberal. Then for three months before an election, he becomes a conservative. He should have joined Daschle as a wee Democrat.
As predicted, McCain looking to kick own-goals and play hard against anyone but the supposed opposing team.
Yeah, like retiring and living there :)
He must KNOW he’s not needed and even deserves to give a younger guy a chance to show what he’s made of.
He is incredibly selfish, in my opinion.
Go pose with the jihadis again, mcCain.
Sigh. If you have to explain the reference, it ceases being funny.
McCain is trying to be relevant to a subject that was hot in the early 2000s.
Get it?
is really what he is saying.
Uh, Sen. McCain, we know you went through a lot. But, in the US, that still does not make you king.
Frigging A.
He’ 80. Didn’t he just get reelected? Isn’t that until he’s 86?
I wonder if he’ll run again ;)
No waterboarding, so what? Rat helmeting? Forced lectures from Juan I love ISIS McStain?
Isn’t it hard to believe this guy advocated to arm and fund the Muslim Brotherhood, al Qaeda, and there-by the inception of ISIS? And who would guess Obama would be only too happy to agree? So they did.
This resulted in the toppling of the governments of Libya, Egypt, and a confrontation with Russia in Syria that appeared to verge on open hostility between the two nations, Russia and the United States.
Libya was a known quantity, no longer hostile to the U.S. Egypt’s Hozni Mubarak was a long term staunch ally of the U.S. Assad was not openly hostile to the U.S.
And now McCain refuses to allow waterboarding of terrorists? Why I’m shocked, shocked I tell you.
John McCain is a George Soros fellow traveler along with Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
George Soros was a major funding resource for the Arab Spring. The Arab Spring caused problems for upwards of 10 to 12 nations in the Middle East. ISIS now has a presence in about 20 nations.
John McCain was just re-elected to another six year term. He will try to cause Trump trouble every step of the way. He has been a worse senator by far, than Hillary Clinton even thought of being.
Someone needs to tell this cheap punk he is just a Senator from Arizona, not the new Napoleon or Alexander the Great. Nobody elected him president and, aside from the coterie of senile old idiots in Arizona who keep electing this nasty moron,we didn’t even vote him into the Senate House. Of all the nasty RINOS in Washington, this piece of crap is the worst.
The “wise” voters in Arizona keep electing this shit-for-brains”.
