If the Democrats really wanted him they could have fought. They could have filibustered every Senate action until a vote was held on him.

I don't see Ted as being a threat to Trump in 2020. Not unless he becomes "Born Again".

Cruz did do better with that degree than Garland did.
You can lead horses to water, but you can’t get them to drink. Law per se is amoral. What is done with it is either moral or immoral.

Sounds like the wisest place unless and until he gets primaried out.
Having the warm body there tagged GOP is worth something to Donald’s plans, after all.

Cruz as a threat to Trump in 2020? LOL!
First of all, I would not be the least bit surprised to see Trump leave after 4 years of swamp-draining, and pass it off to Mike Pence for 8 years.
Either way, Cruz will be lucky to win Texas in 2018.

Just like all the GOPers that hated Reagan, until he won. Then they fell in line.

Consider this: if the Senate approves Cruz for SCOTUS, then he is out of the Senate for life. That alone will garner a few votes.

I hope Trump stays for 8 years and then Mike Pence for the 8 years after that.
I watched part of Pence speaking in Michigan weeks back (on OAN on TV). Awesome stuff.

Not Ted Cruz.
Judge Roy Moore. That needs to be the first one.

‘Teds not on the list of the 21 proposed SCOTUS appointments.’
And Trump promised to pick from his list.
So that’s that.
