I’ve been surprised at the lack of information and the quality of the reasoning of the college age protesters. Just when I thought I had heard it all, I read the following on a college website:

” As a graduate of Lafayette the thing that sickens me are the inflammatory comments and replys to this letter. The faculty are simply stating that they will stand up for minorities and anyone feeling threatened. As a liberal arts college, with a core curriculum based in humanities, inclusion, unity and respect is paramount. For those commenting that a liberal arts major is pointless- you are clearly diluted. As an English and art major I stand with all of my fellow graduates, all of whom have jobs, earn a salary, and turned out just fine. I’m so glad that my 6 figure salary in manhattan, doing what I love, beat out a terrifying big bad retail job. Grow up, stop hiding behind the facade (wall) of internet anonymity, and recognize that while we may not all agree, everyone’s voice deserves to be heard. Those that cannot recognize it, and have written rude, degrading comments, are at the core of the bubbling inequity we are facing.”

Could colleges really be turning out graduates who write like this? The writer claims to have been an English major. Or perhaps this is someone’s idea of a joke.

I rode in to work this morning with a friend who was actually a Bernie supporter, but she got the Trump win spot on. She had gone to bed on election night, not knowing who won, and when she woke in the morning, and heard Trump had won, her thought was, well a LOT of folks were fed up with their government! She knew it wasn’t racism, sexism, or any of the other liberal idiocy.

Ask the city dwellers where they get their food and drink. No farms, ranches, or distilleries on the Upper West Side or in LA. The helpless “superior” bastards.

Worst of all, the arrogance of the elites who decided that Hillary should be president and that anyone who disagreed was a clod, a bumpkin, or an ingrate. After all, they had volunteered to step up and make our decision for us. How dare we not appreciate that?

I love this comment!!

Right from the get go, Hillary and the DNC pissed me off, calling me low-information, blue-collar worker, racist, non-college educated. I’m not any of these, and to broadly classify all GOP voters was a mortal sin. There were 60+ million low-information Demo voters who ignored all the transgressions of the Clintons, and lack of policy focus or dynanmic vision, mental stability and health flaws — its obvious their support has not done their research, other listen to CNN drone on and on, 24 hours a day.

“anyone who disagreed was a clod, a bumpkin, or an ingrate.”

This was a classic Brexit Vote then!

Ah, you saw that comment. Do you think it was for real or was it intended to be humorous?

There were probably ten errors in that post, maybe more. The first line misspelled the word replies. Then there were errors in grammar. Then - she claimed to be an English major. I took it at face value but a friend of mine said it was intentional.
