A religious watchdog organization is applauding a denominational group for its handling of a sexual ethics issue.

The Baptist General Convention of Texas, aligned with the Southern Baptist Convention, recently notified a Dallas and an Austin church that their stances on affirming sexual relationships outside the scope of biblical marriage between a man and a woman puts them outside the bounds of cooperation with the state convention. That means the BGCT will no longer accept funds from the church, seat its messengers to the annual meeting and allow the church to express affiliation with the state convention, among other things.

Good for this faithful group. There are still Churches which will NEVER succumb to the Sodomite agenda, much to their rage.

It’s soon revealed that the right decision was made with these heretical churches. They’ll exercise only tacit tolerance of activist homosexuals in their congregations while affiliated with the state group, but once that relationship is severed, they show their true colors by being radically activist.

This happened with Broadway Baptist in Ft Worth several years ago.

In my small town in the 1980’s the 1st Baptist Church went liberal, women pastors and deacons, etc... They got kicked out of the local association and have been on a downward spiral ever since. Recently one of their members was saying there was dissention because their youth leader was dating their choir director, lesbian’s and the it youth attendance was non-existent. They were not show they felt about that. My response was you all went liberal decades ago and now you are concerned about going to far? You crossed the Rubicon and know what to do but you won’t. Your church will die. They were not happy campers.

I wonder how Andy Stanley is going to react to this.

Three points:

One, this generally began with the ordination of women. as always, the Left sneered at the idea of a slippery slope, all the while they were eagerly pushing people down it.

Two, this specifically began with ostensibly single homoerotic males joining churches via their choirs. This gave them a foothold from which to infiltrate and subvert from within, which is what leftists always do.

Three, Baptists in the South historically tend to be Democrats. This is their Achilles Heel on so-called social issues..
