The Daily News could not independently confirm the report, and the Trump campaign did not immediately return a request for comment. I remember when reporters got TWO sources before going public with a story.

Flynn had been DIA Director, which required a way different skill set than DOD Secretary. NSC or CIA Director are a better fit for him. I’ve only just started reading his book with Michael Ledeen.
