It’s a real shame that these people get away with it..these are our vets...we owe them employees that will do the job right and make their lives better.
That is what I fear. Businessman Trump thinks he is going to be able to fire governmental employees but it is not so simple.
I hope he masterminds a solution to the Union problem. The people who are still employed by the VA after their scandalous behavior is shocking.
I get my medical care through my local VA here in Wisconsin. The care I have gotten to date has been nothing less than professional and top-notch.

Sounds like the VA was waiting until the election results. Now they know they don’t have to cowtow to Obama/Clinton agenda
There’s a joke that goes around, that the VA is the only place that that will screwup employees and elevate them to cake jobs. Most of the folks I work with are darn good people and provide great care to our veterans. They really do. And, I work for a great manager who believes in our mission and is great leader of people, but is hamstrung by the do nothing union.

I have had good experience with VA MHICAM for a relative..but the horror stories of those that keep their jobs after horrendous behavior just shock me.
The “reality show host” is now organizing his teams, and some of them are called: “No More Nonsense”, “The Ass Kickers”, and “Get The ‘F’ Out Of Our Way”, “Making America Great Again”.
Please Trump slow down. We are winning too much. NOT!! Keep winning please.
Get back to providing the best health care for vets and forget about wasting time and money on cosmetics for a few mentally disturbed patients.
It’s my pleasure. I’m a veteran of the US Army myself, and have nothing but the utmost respect for veterans. Take comfort in knowing that the overwhelming majority of folk I work with in the VA are great people and have respect and admiration for vets.
I’ve had some awesome experiences with veterans, including taking care of an older (90 plus) gentlemen who was shot down over Germany in 1944. Hearing him talk about being marched around to different POW camps and how the German guards would pilfer through their Red cross packages, and the thin soup they would eat as food supplies worsened was incredible.
Thank you. My son deals with the V.A. on a regular basis and is dumbstruck by the common attitude of disrespect toward veterans in even common interactions.
I know the union has made it impossible for many of the good people at the V.A. to accomplish their tasks. The red tape is mindboggling. The frustration level of my son and thousands like him is horrible to see and they are powerless.

During the Vietnam War I use to take my dog into visit the vets in the VA that backed up to our yard in W. Roxbury, MA...the place was a busy center for back and limb injuries...lots of Hueys came in over our roof...inspiring was the word for what they did!

The union keeps worthless floaters on the government payroll. The overwhelming majority of us want to make a difference and give these guys/women the treatment they deserve. However, there are abusers in the system, and even the best in management cannot do a damn thing about them. Some of these people, and believe me, they are the tiny minority, manage to affect morale and would not survive a week in the private sector.
Thank you for what you did. My understanding is that Veterans Administration (that’s what it was called then), was horribly underfunded and facilities were archaic.
Reagan created a federal department and increased funding. Some of the current VA facilities are second to none. Some, including the replacement facilities in Denver and Louisville are taking forever to happen. Typical government-hurry up and wait.
