JERSEY CITY — Mayor Steve Fulop today joined a chorus of Democratic mayors nationwide who have tried to reassure immigrants rattled over last week's election of Donald J. Trump as president, saying the city will remain a so-called "sanctuary city" for undocumented residents. "Jersey City remains the golden door to this country for immigrants and that will not change despite a change in the presidency," Fulop said in a statement. "Our policies, principles and our city, as a whole, will remain a welcoming community for immigrants and families."

Trump was right about that as well, Fulop was pissed that he couldn’t lie about it anymore once the news coverage video showed up showing not only did they celebrate, they even had prior knowledge of the event and even had a model of the world trade center and binoculars for best viewing.
