Beijing (AFP) - Chinese state-run media lauded Donald Trump Tuesday after a phone call between him and President Xi Jinping, saying that the president-elect's emergence could mark a "reshaping" of Sino-American relations.
The pair spoke Monday, when Xi said that the two powers needed to co-operate and Trump's office said the leaders "established a clear sense of mutual respect for one another".

When Trump wiped out 17 candidates, the DNC, the RNC, and the MSM the adults around the world realize they better take him seriously.
I think Ivanka’s daughter also helped. To China, it might show they value the Chinese. Why else would she be learning Chinese at such a young age. Not an easy language.
Compare with Husain Osama bowing before them begging for forgiveness.
These countries don’t respect humility or “soft power.” They respect strength and a willingness to apply it.

all of the chinese people i work with voted for trump. They said all their friends and family did also.
People realize that the presidency just got a massive firmware upgrade.
China is gung-ho about business these days, and they respect Trump’s expertise.

Mandarin is indeed tough. Full of inflections which, if done wrong, can completely change the meaning of a word!
But an immensely useful one in business.
I worked in 4 investment banks and an investment banker who spoke Chinese and had half a brain had it made.

The Chinese are not stupid. As Trump has often noted, their culture produces world-class negotiators and businesspersons.
Trump never demonized China or Mexico or any other nation. He always prefaced with things like 'They're smart', 'our politicians are stupid', 'they have great negotiators, we send unqualified negotiators, mainly donor rewards'.
World leaders recognize a natural born leader and fighter.
We will not be ignored or played like fools any longer.
What are the odds that when Trump visits China he’ll have to leave AF1 through the back door because the Chinese won’t provide the normal service of stairs to the primary exit?
I live in Zhuhai, China. Been in China now over 13 years. Everyone here respects Trump, but they are very confused about why Hillary didn’t win. They read CNN and MSNBC and the BBC. ALl predicted a Hillary win. But most of us expats knew that Trump would win.
In any event, Trump is well respected as a businessman who is hard working and comes from a humble background. Much like Jackie Ma and other famous Chinese businessmen.
They view Trump as building bridges between our two countries and working together as equals. Not as a wrestling match between two global powers...
