Trump is just saying this to get votes. YOU JUST WATCH - the moment he takes office, he’ll fill his transition team with Greenpeace and Sierra Club types.

You think Obama was bad, Trump is 100 TIMES WORSE. He will end all fossil fuels, once and for all.

How do I know, why I can read his mind with my special powers.

(see tag line)

Let each state regulate the creation of pollution.
Let each state regulate coal and all mining.
Let each state regulate farm runoff.

Let the Feds focus on terrorism, cybercrime, polticial corruption.

I stocked up on blankets for the coming Ice Age they and others promoted.

Oh, good.
I hate it when the ice age comes in the Northeast every December. Can't wait until global warming returns in April.

It’s fine for the EPA to get their boot of the coal industry’s neck, but unless natural gas gets back above $5-$6 and stays there, there will never be another coal power plant built in North America.

China itself has vast coal reserves. The world has vast coal reserves, vast oil and gas reserves also. That is why the left opposes all fossil fuel. How can they bring back the Noble Savage when we are so focused on fossil fuel to drive civilization?

It is not just a war on coal, it is also a war on reliable, cheap electricity.

Pollution can cross state lines, hence the need for federal standards. We shouldn’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Your are exactly correct.
Every energy making business has their neck on the line with this.
If coal wins, other producers lose. The same for nat gas, hydro, nukes etc.
Large scale Wind and solar are going to be big losers IMHO when the PTC’s go away.
In the end it’s us. The folks who will see a decrease in our energy bills.

“I’ve asked many times on this and other forums...has ANYONE seen an area that has experienced a rise in waters? Not counting sinking land areas. “

Yes, beaches are being lost due to the rising water levels in California. My sister was up here visiting, and I told her global warming is a bunch of crap. She told me about the beaches, the melting glaciers and dying polar bears.

Keep in mind she’s a hard core California Republican that thinks Bush was a great President and Arnie was a great governor. She did vote for Trump.

Beaches regularly erode and tt has nothing to do with AGW or “rising water levels”. The formation and migration of sand is an ongoing geologic process that is more complex than most people realize. The California coast is especially susceptible since the coastal areas are highly active. The currents, waves and mountains combine to create a beautiful, but highly unstable, environment. It’s called nature, and man’s efforts at “preservation” are short-sighted and often more harmful than helpful.

“Stabilizing” efforts such as riprap and seawalls creates a deficit of sediment and exacerbates the issue. Mitigation efforts are costly and rarely effective long term and none of it has anything to do with global warming. All coasts constantly change, and attempting to capture and maintain a particular state is unnatural, and ultimately reveals the hubris of environmentalists. After all, a butterfly under glass is pretty, but the insect probably didn’t get the best end of the deal.

Trump needs to get rid of the EPA. The EPA is nothing but a reach federally into the lives and property of Americans. Abolish the EPA, Homeland Security, Department of Education, HUD, and the Department of Energy.
The U S was just fine without them for the first 200 years and will be fine without them for the next 500, at least.

“She told me about the beaches, the melting glaciers and dying polar bears.”

That’s because she is stuck on misinformation.

Sand on beaches ebb and flow with the moon’s cycles, glacial ice is more than it was 10 and 20 years ago and polar bear population has literally exploded from 20 years ago.

I am aware she’s stuck on misinformation, I mean, she’s from Kalifornia and in her 80’s. By 80’s, I mean she has relied on the MSM as a little girl, and with Walter Cronkite being “The Most Trusted Man In America”, she feels the CNN folks are his equal.

She’s also big sis, the eldest of siblings, generally, us little kids to not talk back. LOL.

Cars can cross state lines.. So we should have Federal license plates and registration?

Your logic is amazing.

Pollution crosses national borders. So we should have the UN do it?

"Pollution can cross state lines, hence the need for federal standards."

Got specifics how that would work? More EPA dictates that bankrupt family farms from producing for some worthless bait fish in the California delta? Who cares if that smelt dies out existence? 98% of all species on Earth have died. Life adapts.

Let me tell you my personal experience while growing up in Los Angeles: As a kid and teen I remember "smog alerts" that advised not to go outside and recess was canceled in schools. I actually remember feeling the congestion in my chest things were so bad. Many elderly and young and asthmatics were dying or had respiratory problems.

Guess what? Those alerts no longer exist. Why? Because America cleaned up its air, streams, lakes, etc. The US is no longer the great polluter. It is China, India, Mexico and many other Countries. Ever seen photos of Bejing on a sunny day with an inversion layer? Mexico City doesn't even need an inversion layer to see only 2 miles. Does their smog reach CA, AZ, NM? Thought not.

I don't want to pay for their cleanup. While some meteorologists claim their pollution crosses the Pacific and hits the West Coast, have you ever been to Hawaii? They have the cleanest air possible.

Point being that the winds of the Earth disperse said pollutants around the globe, and the rains clear them from the atmosphere. Not saying that China, India, Mexico, others should not try for the sake of their own populations. I'm just sick of these eco-weenies who think we should go back to the stone age so they can feel good about themselves.

The US is a clean beautiful country. Let the fossil fuels flow (with scrubbers) in America and let Saudi Arabia go back to riding camels.

Thank you for your analysis. My question to the "rising seas" people is: Which islands are now flooded? Has Florida lost its beaches? Also, why is there more ice over the North Pole and Antarctica and more polar bears in recent years?

Al Gore assured me that northern polar ice sheet would be non-existent by this time some 12 years ago. Russia was even making plans to claim certain new water-ways and territory. And what happen to all those multiple devasting hurricanes that were supposed to hit one after another? Yes, we just had Andrew - hurricanes happen. Where are those swarms for the last 10 years?

Now I read that some scientists/climatologists are predicting a coming mini-Ice Age. During all my years I've come to the conclusion the climatology is an IN-EXACT science. Their models are never fact...just theory. Crap in - crap out.
