Victoria Jackson and friends are correct that we need the electoral college to counterbalance the popular vote. We’d have to hail Hillary Clinton and the perpetuation of corruption if not for that being our system. The small states and the large ones with small populations (fly-over country) would have no voice without it.
I’m sure some districts were a little ahead of or behind others in getting on board with the progressive movement.
The beginning to the preamble, its introduction, (written by Gouverneur Morris) was to identify the writers of the Constitution. It carried no force of law and was not an endorsement of, god forbid, a democracy.

I believe they understand their limitations by design. But by compromising the enforcement authority, be it DOJ or SCOTUS, they can get away with it.

A:
QUICK ANSWER
A stack of one dollar bills equals $100 and measures .43 inches high, which means that $1 trillion dollar bills would stack to a height of approximately 67,866.16 miles. The moon is about 238,855 miles from the Earth, which would require a stack of $3.5 trillion dollar bills to reach. “
