You know, in a sick demented way, electing Trump has been bad for the gun industry. Their stocks have gone down and I’m guessing we won’t have the record sales that top gun salesman Obama was able to generate.

Oh well, they’re patriots and won’t mind!!!

Trump will get more good things for America done in his first 100 days than politicians have for the last 100 years which is really nothing , mostly amnesties, more government , bad trade deals , more loss of freedom , more spending, more regulations , more debt, more 3rd world immigrants, more taxes etc. . That’s true with only a few minor exceptions with Reagan and Ike (Eisenhower). But Reagan was fooled into signing an amnesty and never did anything against Japan’s unfair trade practices which Trump was warning about even then in the 1980’s.

In fact it seems Trump has already got more done in 6 days after getting elected with no power yet.Imagine 8 years of Trump

The only thing about "national CCW reciprocity" is it still doesn't help the pro-2A patriots who live in restrictive places like CA, IL, NJ, NY, CT, MA, DC, and similar. Those states need to be brought into contemporary times.

No one here voiced anything about the Ayotte mess in New Hampshire that the article briefly mentions. I love it that the stupid wench is going down...she is a democrat anyway. I am going to call all of her offices and laugh out loud at her demise. Just because she has an R next to her name doesn’t mean a blessed thing. The voters in New hampshire realize this and see no difference between the two. Screw Ayotte go to a job you lined up for yourself (I’m sure) you disgusting wench.

Ending Gun-Free Zones on Military Bases. Hmmm, the vast majority of buildings on military bases I frequent are posted as federal property, with a notice that firearms are prohibited, which would not change if Gun-Free Zones were eliminated-- if the purpose of this is to have armed personnel around during a terrorist or active shooter scenario, it won't be enough.

Since the soldiers' place of duty is often either in, or involves frequently entering these federal buildings, and DoD civilians place of duty is almost exclusively in said buildings, this would look good on paper but you would find yourself in a situation where no one could carry in the workplace where an active shooter scenario might occur. If Trump passes such a law it would be great, but make sure to lift these restrictions so that only exceptional locations (federal courthouse) are exempt to carry.

The other problem, for bases in NJ, MD, DC, etc. is saying you can carry on base is one thing, but if you cannot legally carry in the state in which the base is located it buys you nothing. So if I have a PA carry permit, but have to travel to Fort Meade, Fort Detrick, or APG I'm still screwed. Having this PLUS national Constitutional Carry would solve this problem.

Non-violent felons should also get their gun rights back. Originally, a felon was a pretty bad dude. Now it is surmised every American commits at least three felonies a day due to the excessive regulations. If a non-violent felon has done their time, they should be given every single one of their civil right back.

It’s a suppressor, not a silencer.

Most calibers are supersonic, and therefore not silent.

That being said, suppressors are common in Europe, and even desirable due to the reduction in noise pollution.

Putting “silencers” under ATF control was an ignorant move based on what people “learned” about firearms from movies. People got worked into a tizzy about “silent” guns in the hands of assassins. In movies, you can put a “silencer” on a .357 revolver and reduce the report to a “pffft”. In real life (a place unknown to many people), we know that is nonsense; supressors - the proper term - do no such thing.

...and the Clinton EO ban on importing armored vehicles and equipment
....and the Bush I EO that banned non-sporting firearms.

How about giving back Disabled Veterans their 2Amend. Right/s...

But I’ve heard this tripe before under George W. Bush[43]. The nra uses this as a money raising issue/s. And until this is done, I’ll NOT send 1 red cent to the nra or any other fire arms group!

I would love to see may-issue states like CA being required to honor permits from other states, including other state permits issues to their own residents. Many CA residents have permits issued by AZ and Utah for example. I don’t know if any of the various bills include a provision like that. If not, we’ll have the situation where visitors to a state like CA could legally carry while many residents could not. I’d be happy with that as a good first step though, if that’s all we could get at this time.

IMHO, the second one, if Trump wades off into it would be unconstitutional.

The States control who carries within their borders not the Federal Government.

6. Allow direct transfers to CCW holders without having firearm shipped to a local FFL.

Hell, they have already been mugged, fingerprinted and passed an FBI and state background check. OK, (for now) have 'em send a filled out 4473 to the seller.

6a. Allow out of state handgun purchases for CCW holders.
