If they thought Donald Trump was about to force a pogrom on trannys as a priority as soon as he takes office they were delusional.
Donald Trump is essentially neutral with a live and let live additude towards life styles in general, LGBT included. He is also far too pragmatic to waste his time and efforts on what amounts to an insignificantly tiny segment of the population.
They are evil if they are manipulating to their own ends the passions and fears of a group confused, unhappy, unstable and often maladjusted and mentally ill group so badly that they are driven to suicide
They were the tip of the Bobo iceberg "Narrative", nearly everything dey gots in the past 8 years was a function of an unlawful stew of EOs and admin regs; and they know Trump can pick & choose which ones to undo.
First and foremost, the military. Secondly, Fed employment. Third, 'Edumacation'. Do those first, quietly, now in the first 100 days; then wait a few months to do latrines.
