I think I read someplace that there was an error of some sort. And absentee ballots are still being tallied.
What I’m also waiting for is Michigan official tally; last time I checked, president-elect Trump was ahead by about 11,000 votes.

Although the original FR thread was pulled, I found the reference to those figures.
The mod was correct in pulling the thread, since this source computed numbers based on Twitter and other non-official sources. As one poster commented at that wordpress posting, four million CA absentee ballots and several hundred thousand WA absentee ballots have yet to be counted. Anyone’s guess as to whether Hillary or Donald’s popular vote counts will be greater. There are a lot of military votes yet to be counted; hopefully they are Trump votes. Doesn’t matter as far as Trump’s official status as President-elect, as he has more than enough electoral votes and definitely is the President-elect.
I believe when web sites today accurately state the vote count from 2012, that number comes from the FEC, which didn’t publish it until at least a few months after the 2012 election.
In 2012, Romney and Obama each eventually added about 4-5 million votes to the totals announced within a few days of the election.
Possible they didn’t want to screw with pence.
