Tuesday, November 8, 2016 was a very historic day to be in New York City. I am fortunate enough to work there and my office was right in the middle of it all. During Tuesday, I walked between Trump Tower and the Midtown Hilton (where Trump's victory party was being held) and took some videos which I will post below. I also have other videos later in the week that I might post in this thread as well as some still photos.
Crooked Hillary Clinton was having her "victory party" at the Javitts Convention Center just about 20 blocks away. But I had no interest in wandering over there.
I was thinking of spending the night there and being part of the outside crowd as Trump's victory was announced. I was going to do some bar-hopping in between to get warmed up. In retrospect, I'm glad I didn't as Trump's victory was not announced until nearly 3 in the morning and I would have wasted $500 on a hotel room just for three hours sleep. But then again, it might have been worth it!
In the videos below, I'm walking from Trump Tower to the Hilton and then back again. I was pretty confident that Trump would win but the average man on the street thought Trump had no chance.
During the time of the videos I took, Donald Trump was still ensconced over at Trump Tower. Already, I could see the extra security precautions being taken in case Trump did win. Dump trucks full of cement were parked in front of the building (you will see this in the videos) and the Secret Service/NYPD protection was getting stepped up considerably. There were police with camouflage uniforms holding machine guns at both Trump Tower and the Hilton.
It is Saturday afternoon but I'm still pinching myself to make sure this is not just a dream and that Crooked Hillary really has been vanquished and that President-Elect is still ensconced at the Trump Tower putting together his transition team, his Cabinet and plans to make America Great Again.
I am anything but a professional photographer but hopefully the videos below give you an idea of what it was like to be in New York City on that historic day.
Since then, Trump Tower has been made into a complete fortress with a no-fly zone established above. I will post later in this thread videos and photos taken later in the week.
Hope you all appreciate this and that this is not considered just a vanity. That said, I do encourage all reading this to pitch in a few dollars to put Free Republic over the top on their fundraising this quarter. I'm a monthly contributor and that's the way to go in my opinion as you just give a few dollars or what you can afford each month and forget about it.
It's going to be a great 4-8 years!
The photo at the top looks as good as any I’ve ever seen in the news. Haven’t checked out the others yet.
On behalf of those of us out here in Flyover Country, thanks for doing these videos! Just like beg there except for the hassle ;-) The cement trucks were a good idea but it seems there’s going to need to be nearly a continuous barrier of some kind, of course they can’t do it around all of Trump’s properties around the world. Very cool videos.
You might hear the cops in the background telling me to move along!
Hmmm.
Interesting.
Nice. The guy sounds a little like David Brenner (did).
Love the security.
Thanks so much for these-—I’m jealous,I love NYC.
.
Well, if he’s not there, it will work.
I liked the dump trucks. When I saw that early-on (before looking at the NYT online meters) I began to suspect we had a chance at pulling this thing off. Looks like they saw what was going on.
1) Hillary canceled “celebration fireworks”.
2) Dump trucks called out, probably by USSS request to NYC, to enhance security.
I have been waiting for your report & you did not disappoint. Thanks for this.
Great Post!
I just watched a few of them so far and felt like I was really right there. Thanks! Unbelievable how exciting that looks. The dump trucks filled with cement are very sobering when you think of what they were there to prevent. Saw the dogs.
How exciting to have that electricity crackling right there and people actually walking around feeling it all, taking it all in. We don’t do that here (LA). New York is so exciting.
What a momentous day.
And you won’t have traffic jams when he goes home to Trump Tower for the weekend because he has his heliport. We have endured 8 years of Obamajams when he drags his motorcade through LA to pimp for money or appear on chat shows.

Thank you so very much for the videos. It is IMPORTANT to record even little seemingly insignificant slices of real history. It may not seem like much at the time, but you did document the truth on the ground at an important time, and that is extremely valuable. Think of it - how cool it would have been to see little peripheral shots of events unfolding during our original Revolutionary War.
God bless you and all patriots! We are one and united!
A million thanks for doing those vids!!
I'm sure one of his biggest priorities at that time was getting poor Barron back to bed!
