I agree ... I too find it too hard to believe Bill wanted to share his legacy with a woman he can barely stand.

Two of the most corrupt politicians that ever lived
One a definite rapist
Screw how nice they were on the phone

Both of them would walk over any dead body they needed to to win

Everything you said is correct. Believe me, FReepers know it and Team Trump knows it. DJT can play the gracious winner for now, though, without falling prey to Obama’s or the Clintons’ “charms.” He’s got their number!

Funny, but I’ve gotten the same feeling. It would be hilarious if they got divorced now. Why do they still need to stay together?

Money and dirt. They know exactly what they and those who conspired with them have done. They have been a very powerful crime team. It is to dangerous for either to leave the other at this point not only from the stand point of the damage they could do to each other but from the fear of those powerful people that they have conspired with. Life could become every short and painful.

My gut tells me Bill didn't want Hillary to win.

Maybe in the end, but at the beginning of the campaign he did his best to help her. He tried to get them to allocate more resources to the Rust Belt states that eventually did Hillary in, but no one would listen. After that, maybe he did want her to lose, if only to let him tell fools like Podesta "I told you so."

"He said it was an amazing run. One of the most amazing he’s ever seen. He was very, very, really, very nice." = Please don't do a valid investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

An appeal to vanity, that is all.

Bill needed his wife to win, don't fall for that point of view.

I think Bill started to falter in his speeches in August or September. I don’t think he had a good answer for veterans who asked him about Benghazi (did he? I do not recall for certain). I don’t think his heart was in it. I will go further to guess that Bill disagreed with at least some of Hillary’s positions and strategy. Bill always used to promote the third way, whatever that was. I will try to define it as some way to avoid direct conflict through a combination of log rolling, compromise, and redirection. I did not see much if any evidence that Hillary was willing to compromise. From my point of view (admittedly that of a libertarian hetero male), Hillary was always hard left, and hard feminist. IMHO this would have to have gone counter to Bill’s grain to defend. To me they had a difference of style and substance in speaking. Half the time Bill seemed to be trying to evade the topic and half the time Bill seemed to be trying to reconcile Hillary’s hard left positions with the center. Bottom line, Bill’s instinct is to wobble towards the center while Hillary wobbles hard left. Bill did not have his heart in many of Hillary’s positions.

You are so right. I agree with you in that Bill’s heart was not in it.
