Is the wall considered infrastructure? It will create jobs.
“President-elect Trump’s job-creation promise is similar to President Obama’s 2009 stimulus package, which Republicans opposed.”
Every day I grow to hate the media more and more. Now they are equating the Obama Stimulas with the have trilllon dollars in job creation that Trump will deliver.
Donald’s words to God’s ears
Sounds like the stimulus package and shovel ready jobs.

Get Americans working.
Obama blew 2 trillion and I never saw that jobs or bridges and roads that paid for.
There could be all kinds of innovative ways to do this in collaboration with the private sector if your goal was to actually get things built not just piss money away to cronies as “stimulus”. This is square in Trump’s wheelhouse, let’s get-er-done.
I want to be that guy that drives back-and-forth in the “pilot truck”.
Obama’s stimulus was a slush fund to payoff unions. Hopefully Trump’s stimulus will actually build stuff.
Hope it goes really, really deep too.
Stimulus.? Seriously! Wow, now that is the Donald I remember.
Yes, the highway system is in need of repair. But I hope Trump DOES NOT resort to Transurban-type privatized toll roads, like around Washingtoon DC. This uses govt’s eminent domain power for private gain. Highways are a public good. The highway system should be FREEWAYs, but even if they are TOLLWAYS with E-Z pass type systems, they need to be public owned not private owned. Once these private systems are installed, eventually they will lead to politicians allowing the parallel public highways to deteriorate — forcing people to the expensive private roads. This is all part of the NWO agenda strategy of fleecing the sheeple with a death of a thousand cuts. It is similar to the Climate change carbon tax where, although it taxes “carbon” they have finally figured out a way to implement the age-old objective of “taxing the air we breathe.”
Two of the early objectives of a Trump administration, by their own statements, are a term limit amendment and infrastructure spending. McConnell has already said that neither are of interest to the Senate.
Build the wall! That is a shovel-ready project. Round up illegal aliens—$500 per person—another shovel-ready project; round them up and shove them over the border.
If this were actually spent on infrastructure, then it would not be similar in the least. Very little of the Obama "stimulus" was spent on infrastructure projects. If it had been it might have actually be somewhat beneficial instead of being a drag on the economy.
