I am glad those criminals are safe; they should be safe. ICE should detain them safely and then deport them safely. If they return, they should be incarcerated safely for five years and then deported safely again.

With $2 million from George Soros, Paul Penzone (Dem) unseated Joe Arpaio. The activists were so relieved that they no longer have to live in fear.....and I’m thinking ‘yep, they know Penzone won’t do anything about the illegals in Maricopa County’.

Currently this is interpreted as meaning any federal laws (like immigration laws) overrule any contradictory laws enacted by state or local governments. So you may be able to order your city employees not to assist the feds in deporting illegals, but you can’t do anything to actually stop them.
President-elect Trump is saying he’ll cut off ALL funding to sanctuary cities. (I’d go further. I’d arrest the officials responsible.)

The bar of proof should be very low. To prevail, victims need only show that the local government agent took an affirmative stance to NOT cooperate with ICE, and that the injury occurred. Unless it can be established with any other paper trail, those personally liable should be the legislature, the executive and the Police Department executives.
