The Russians have many excellent weapons, and have surprised us with their electronic warfare capabilities in Ukraine.
They have the fastest antiship cruise missiles, longest range SAMs, and robust research and development, so it would be foolish to assume we still have the ASW advantage we have had for 50 years just because we have not detected what is probably highly classified capabilities. And even if we did know they had a superiority, it is unlikely we would let that be known.
Remember, the last decade and a half we have been focusing on fighting terrorists in a cave, while the Russians have continued on developing their abilities to fight us.
