Like most Democrats of her age group (’60s and ‘70s former hippies), she could not believe anyone would disagree with her opinions, condescendingly and arrogantly delivered.

Freshman year in college 1966.
The difference is, I dropped out two years later and enlisted in the Army, went to VietNam and came back to school in ‘73 with a very different perspective.
But I have a whole slew of acquaintances from that time who are exactly the ones of which you speak. Their intellectual weakness is surpassed only by their arrogance.
