Still, many prominent politicians believe it's time to do away with the Electoral College. Said former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, a Democrat and a Clinton supporter:

"If we really subscribe to the notion that 'majority rules,' then why do we deny the majority their chosen candidate?"

Fair enough..amend the Constitution.Get the House *and* the Senate to vote for an amendment with a two-thirds vote. *Then* get three quarters of the 50 states to approve.

Given that the current system gives smaller states a special influence you'll be *very* hard pressed to get three quarters.

BWAHAHAHA!

Granholm is a Canadian by birth. She apparently didn’t “get it” when she was naturalized.

The Founders intentionally wanted to avoid a Tyranny of the Majority, so we explicitly have a Representative Republic instead of a Democracy.

I swear, these “smart people” are truly uninformed idiots on substance.
