Donald Trump is not yet president, and yet within 24 hours of winning the election both Mexico (link) and Canada (link) announce they are willing to begin renegotiation’s of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
This is EXACTLY what happens when you put a Titan of Industry back in charge of the biggest economy in the world. As a non-politician industrialist Donald Trump has said for decades, the U.S. holds all the leverage in these negotiations. He’s right.
American capitalists and workers are about to see just how powerful that leverage is. Remember, Trump’s economic platform -and his plan to save SSI and retiree benefits- is founded upon the U.S. economic engine working at 4%+ GDP growth.

I know this is off topic - but a possible solution to immigration reform which would take care of all the illegals here now without breaking up families, or leaving people defenseless while they go back and then apply for citizenship Legally!
on illegal immigration- IF we took ALL illegals, right now- who are on welfare, SS, food stamps etc- and gave them 1 more year’s worth of $$ (say an illegal gets roughly $8000 a year now- give them another $8000) and sent them AL:L back to mexico- and told them “APPLY for citizenship LEGALLY, IF you wish to come back, and we will consider it- but you will receive nothing until we decide whether to admit you- Cut off ALL payments to illegals this year-
This gives them plenty of time and money to care for themselves, fidn a job there, feed themselves BACK in mexico- so that we can’t be accused of ‘coldly, heartlessly sending them back to starve to death’ ThaT WAY, ALL THE KIDS THAT ARE HERE WILL BE WITH THEIR PARENTS BACK in Mexico- and you won’t be breaking up families- Give them the money this year with the understanding that once it’s gone, there is no more- the free ride is over- IF they want to come back here, they will be coming here to work, pay taxes, etc, and be an asset, not a deficit to our country- IF they jump the border again- NO handouts- even if they have children here- THEY need to become responsible for their children- not the US-
This all sounds like it would cost a lot, and some might wonder why we’d spend the money- the answer is that it would be a hell of a lot cheaper than what we’re spending now AND the money ot them would end this year-
We spend between $400 BILLION and $600 BILLION dollars on illegals and the crime and destruction they cause here every single year- IF it cost us say $100 BILLION dollars to give all the illegals enough money for 1 year when they return to Mexico- our country would NOT be dealing with crimes and destruction and massive costs that illegals cost us each year here while the illegals are back in Mexico- It would be a 1 time payment of $100 BILLION and then the money stops- period- We will no longer be spendign $400 BILLION to $600 BILLION dollars on illegals any longer (some folks estimate that this cost may be even higher than $600 BILLION)
make it crystal clear that there are no more handouts to illegals from this year forward- and any illegals caught living in the US- regardless of how long they have been here- after this year -will be deported with NO money- IF we can find a solution to the anchor baby situation- illegals will no longer be able to use them as their ticket to welfare and SS and food stamps here in the US
