Donald Trump can be very good for the US economy [CNN LOVES T'S SPENDING PROMISES]

One of the first things Trump talked about in his victory speech was rebuilding the national infrastructure

Donald Trump has the potential to be a massive force for good for the economy...

...Obama got a relatively wimpy stimulus package passed at the start of his term but hasn't been able to get anything going since...

...Krugman has been pounding the table for an increase in fiscal stimulus for years now, to no avail.

Trump could change all of this.

The first thing Trump mentioned in his victory speech was spending on infrastructure.

"We are going to fix our inner cities, and rebuild our highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, schools, hospitals...

...Trump promised to spend heavily on programs that would create untold numbers of jobs in construction, steel manufacturing and other sectors. He said his focus would be on transportation, water, telecom and energy.

"We can work together to quickly pass a robust infrastructure jobs bill," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said...

Ok. But something has to be cut to offset this spending.

I received several calls yesterday from old contacts wanting me to do work for them so the Trump Effect is already in play (if you’d know what I’ve been through you’d know why that is BIG to me).

People are just in a better mood; you might say actually “happy” for the first time in a longggg time. If nothing else, the mood change Trump has brought about is so much better than that Muslim Manchurian Candidate’s raincloud that follows you around...

Your headline says CNN while the link says CNBC. Nice attention to detail there.

Oh the death of the Keynsians is hard. Always with the government spending, anything but liberty and true free markets. But the philosophical leap most of these ignorsamuses need to make is ...you worry about your own life and I will worry about mine. Liberalism at it’s core is busybodyism and not wanting to face the ugliness of life. abortion(I can face having a baby and giving it up), Welfare(I want to to give them your money but I don’t want them living in my neighborhood), most any other social program(Don’t spoil my fairy and unicorn world, give them your money so they will go away). There is also a deep seat mental disorder in many of these people, an emotional imbalance, an unmooring from reality. It’s impossible to reason with them. Like Rush always spouted , I’m not into debating them, I’m into beating them in the arena of ideas. Election 2016, a big component was the failure of Obamacare, a case study in liberalism\socilaism, a rotten idea with bad philosophical underpinnings. Then again a philosophy with God at the center is always doomed to fail, ALWAYS

I dont know about that. He's pulled me through some very, very tough times, FRiend. Things I did not think I would get through and at the last second, He came through. Not once but many, many times. I could be misunderstanding you though...;)

Some things, like infrastructure.. if it needs to get done, lets get it done. Under budget and in record time.

I’ve started to hear reports about traders and companies already making plans for growth based upon Trump’s economic policies. Let us not forget that, when Reagan and a Republican-led Congress lowered taxes, it resulted in a huge increase in government revenue. While increases in government revenue is not necessarily a good thing, growth throughout the economy was the result of Reagan’s tax policies.

If Trump will just push the reduction in corporate tax rates from 35 to 15 percent, the resulting impact on the economy will be immediate and significant.

The way we determine "needs" is we go to all the trouble to look at the cost of a new project and we compare it to the $ advantages of having it done.  It's a lot of work and most people on the FR just say I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT and somehow I'm supposed to pay for it all.

If we get some government spending, and maybe some nice tariffs, we should be all set.

I pray EVERYONE who is going through hardships starts feeling them with jobs, better jobs, more funds, better health, food, shelter, able to pay their bills, able to go to a movie or eat out, able to speak their mind without intimidation, able to attend the church of their choice, able to buy the gun AND ammo of their choice.... For this I am extremely thankful. My wife and I have been through literal Hell on Earth. I'm not going to share the misery because it's a new day...: ) ...all the little things we took for granted before the last 8 years of Hell unleashed on Earth by the spirit of AntiChrist and part of it still sits in the Oval Office as though nothing is wrong...: ) sorry that litle piece of dark side came out....lol

Completely agree. We could use a task force that would find what really needs fixing and is useful fixed. Then do those projects. I know these infrastructure projects end up bing political paybacks though...

When you dance with the devil.....Just hoping Trump doesnt like to dance.

CNN sucks.

I don't care what they say about anything. Why should I respect the kinds of people who steal 'debate' questions and feed them to one side?

Would there have been an unending uproar if Hannity had gotten his hands on questions for the last debate and given them to Donald Trump? The little jerks in the press would still be screaming about that if the tables had been turned...

Maybe in a few weeks I'll be able to read a CNN story... it's too early for that now. They're scum. They created a culture that allowed for horrible cheating.
