Donald Trump's victory spoiled John Kasich's plans. So what's next for Ohio's governor?

“Kasich showed piss poor judgement. He is done.”
That is exactly right. Trump came along and ruined all his plans.

Going back to his last job isn't really an option ...

I'll hold off on any criticism of Borges for now.
He helped Portman run a masterful campaign to hold a Senate seat that seemed like a certain Democratic pickup a year ago. Portman walked a fine line between distancing himself from Trump and embracing the most important elements of Trump's agenda in a very important swing state.
I also have little reason to criticize a GOP chairman in a swing state that Trump actually won.

Do you think he will run against Sherrod Brown for the senate seat? If so, no way in HELL will I vote for him!!

Kasich might want to contact Creamer & Foval and see if they have a position for him in the future .... head back stabber?

I think he will take Voltaire's advice and cultivate his garden, which will be serving out his term (he's term-limited) and getting the state in the best shape he can for whomever takes over. He and his advisors obviously miscalculated and missed boarding the Trump train once the nomination was secured. John and I are friends from his days in the state Senate, he is the same age as me, and so will be 68 years old when the election of 2020 rolls around. I'm not sure he will want to run then. I know I wouldn't.

Think about it. Kasick will be in DC with the CLEVELAND Cavaliers. During the Republican National Convention, Kasick arrogantly and with much fanfare refused to fulfill his duties as host governor.
Why the *ell will Kasick be in DC? He has NOTHING to do with the city or the team!

It’s his last chance to visit the WH (outside of the tour).

It wouldn’t surprise me. The GOPe here in Ohio play musical chairs with state offices. Term-limited out of one office; run for another office. Same names — different offices. Mike DeWine was Senator, now he is Attorney General, wants to run for governor.
No way in HELL will I EVER vote for POS Kay-Sick again either!!

Borges should go back to being a lobbyist for LGBT organizations. Only a GOP as crappy as Ohio’s would make someone like him the head of the state party.

What jokes!
Kasich was never a real possibility in the first place. Apparently the guy suffers delusions of grandeur

Kasich should some time off to work out and make his lips and nostrils more muscular.
