I was right. Trump’s triumph has crushed the lefty luvvies,

My mother says gloating, like sweating, is unbecoming of a lady. Happily, I have never wished to be one - so I can sweat like a pig on safari and gloat like Kim Kardashian in Rigby & Peller. I was right. Donald Trump won. Not only did he win, he won by a convincing margin - turning America red with patriotic pride and the faces of commentators ever redder as they tried to explain how they had been so spectacularly wrong. The news came as a shock to all those who have failed - yet again - to understand the feelings of regular Americans – people who want to work hard, keep their family safe and secure for the future. Real people. Not the loud voices in wealthy cities. Not the multicultural mafia in the liberal heartland of LA or New York. But in the towns, rural outposts and forgotten homes across the States. As Trump predicted, it was Brexit Times Ten. The people rose up and made their voice heard, leaving Hillary to weep into her pant suit and her campaign team to wonder what on Earth went wrong. You can't blame them for thinking they stood a good chance. Pollsters have demonstrated - once again- why they are an utterly defunct source of information. Reuters gave her a 95 per cent chance of winning this election. Nate Silver downgraded to a 71 per cent chance of success. And the lefty lovies echo-chamber of choice - the Huffington Post said she was a shoe in at 98 per cent. These are people who are supposed to be reflecting back at us how we feel.

Video at link. Here's a refreshing change. A celebrity who "threatened" to MOVE to the US if Trump won the election.

How many states has Trump carried.

Reagan had 44.

NYT has Clinton winning the popular vote right now

Americans are Americans

Liberals are not Americans.

When ideology comes into conflict with reality, guess which wins?

I bet not a single one of these "commentators" loses his or her job, suffers a pay cut, or gets insulted by a colleague.

All of which should happen.

What's your point? Trump won convincingly. Reagan didn't have to campaign with the entire MSM trying to destroy him and with many in his own party abandoning him and rooting for the other side to win.

Trump will be able to go for the landslide in 2020, once he's had a chance for the American people to see him as he actually is, not how MSM tried to make him out to be.

My point is I want to know how close he got to the Reagan landslide. Trump was never going to win CA

The population of this country is quite a bit different from when Reagan was here, isn’t it?

And, if you would refresh my memory, what prize does one win when one wins the popular vote in a presidential election?

It wasn't this bad and the media back then pretended to be objective, but it was still bad. And remember John Anderson? He was the "moderate" Republican who was going to peel off all the moderates who couldn't stand Reagan.

Reagan didn’t have elite support either. I don’t think it was as bad as Trump but it was pretty bad.

It’s not gloating if the victory was justly deserved. No evidence of any vote fraud that would benefit the Trump Train is ever going to be discovered, he won IN SPITE OF repeated dirty tricks by the other side, using the playbook that has served them so well since the days of Uncle Cornpone, good ol’ boy Elbee Jay. The tactics pulled by the Democrats in the crusade to defeat Barry Goldwater in 1964, while crude, had been much refined over the years, and for a time, it was only necessary to THREATEN to use these same tactics again that would cause the timid hearts of the Republican Establishment to retreat and preemptively surrender.

But The Donald would not crumble when the threats were raised against him, and in fact, these implied threats often put him into hyperdrive, moving him at warp speed to forestall and thwart the playbook of the Democrats, short-circuiting them and goading them into making foolish assertions they could not later defend.

The Donald won, and has a House and Senate that COULD support him, if they would. But as Theodore Roosevelt observed, it is a bully pulpit, to speak with the authority of the Oval Office behind you

And that is why the framers of our constitution initiated the electoral college. So the little specs of blue in a sea of red don't dominate all the "fly-overs".

Something to think about: because Trump flipped a few blue holes into red swirls this election, the threat to the dnc is that these folks in the previously blue fens will remain red voters if Trumps policies succeed; so the leftists will redouble their efforts to prevent successes from happening in these newly reddened districts and states!

What makes that significant at FR? ... We are the medicine to treat these infections the dnc/leftists/anti-Americans will spread around! FR becomes even more vital in the coming months, as a force to blunt these insidious devils who care not a whit about the people in these newly reddened districts, only their vote trends.

How do we bring the medicine? Well, TRUTH is the strongest medicine against evil. Let's increase our efforts to dose truth where we find the lies and deceptions flowing form the left. ... And let's remain self-funded by supporting the site!

[ PS, Jim, check really is in the mail. ]

Trump had, by far, much more opposition from his own party and the media than Reagan had during the entire race.
