>>Trump owes the Republican Establishment big<<

The RINO pubs, MSM, Libs who attempted to destroy Trump at all cost, even the cost of our nations constitutional rule of law should feel a lil pain the next four years.

Corruption, collusion, deceptions should continue to be exposed.

Today, Karl Rove is one of the most irrelevant people you can find anywhere.

Sessions can't be Speaker. Do you mean Senate Majority Leader?

Again, I would have to say that Mitch McConnell is safe because he has put the replacement for Scalia at Trump's feet. This alone makes him safe IMO. This was a bold move for him, and quite honestly one I disagreed with at the time (I am concerned about precedence on this), but he stayed with it all the way through without compromise and he will remain the Senate Majority Leader imo.

I see it the other way. Trump recognized Rinsed but not Ryan, whose name was conspicuously absent. Trump’s no dummy and remembers people who are disloyal and sneaky.

I don’t trust him, but this is not our choice. The most corrosive thing to a Trump Presidency would be to start off with a civil war.

Hannity was wrong last night to say what he said. I truly believe he feels the anger we do towards Ryan for his back-stabbing ways and that is EXACTLY what it was. I will remain very angry over Ryan’s betrayal (and many others), but that is a luxury Trump cannot afford.

Ryan is very close to Priebus and Pence - per Trump those are two men who he owes big. He is also the sitting Speaker and as such, he is the second most powerful person in D.C.

It would not hurt my feelings one bit, but it would likely hurt Trump before he is even sworn in to pursue this right now.

I would like it to be Trey Gowdy, but how would it happen?

Wasn't that a sight to see, Rove in full meltdown trying to remain relevant?

Too bad the guy with more chins than a Chinese phonebook hasn't a clue that he's finished.

If I ever seen that blabbering blob and his board again, it's too soon for me!

If Trump hadn’t won by razor thin margins in PA and MI, a loss in Wisconsin would have cost Trump the Presidency. Ryan worked hard to make that happen, intentionally or otherwise. He failed but that shouldn’t give him a pass.

Trump does not look at politics that way, i.e., “Ryan helped me win Wisconsin therefore I will reward him with the speakership.”

At least I hope not; that’s the opposite of the man I thought I was voting for.

Loyalty is different than quid pro quo.

Whatever influence Trump has over who is speaker and other key leadership spots, I hope he uses it to choose people who will drain the swamp, and do so aggressively, relentlessly, ahead of schedule, under budget, and according to the constitution.

That is not Paul Ryan. If Trump starts appointing people because he owes them, that will be the first indication that he’s just another politician cutting deals.

I don’t think Trump is planning to dissappoint us with that kind of crap.

Now, saying nice things about Hillary, Rience, Putin or whoever, that’s fine - you schmooze, you make nice. The campaign is over, mend fences - but no favors, no compromises, no back room deals.

Ryan is a back stabber. He’ll start plotting to impeach Trump on day one in favor of his “good friend” Pence. Better to get rid of him now.

Concerned about this as well.

“He’ll start plotting to impeach Trump on day one in favor of his “good friend” Pence.”

Interesting point. Pence may be a good man, but I think he is a globalist largely in the Bush mold. Trump needs to be mindful of his security, and he needs to surround himself with real Americans, not any of these establishment crooks. They will be out for vengeance.

Members of the house vote. Both parties.

Since GOP has majority, whoever Trump wants will get the majority votes.

This is the basic explanation.

It isn't up to Trump to appoint the Speaker. He could steer things away from Ryan, but I don't think he will. I guess we'll see.

It could be that Hannity is correct and the House of Representatives will put forth their own new Speaker. Again, I guess we'll see.
