Clinton campaign sends legal warning on ads claiming she's 'under investigation'

ABC,NBC,CBS, MSNBC, FOX & CNN networks don’t care what the truth is, they are just itching to pull Trump ads. The letter gives them the excuse.

Nope. The FBI still has an open investigation regarding the Clinton Foundation. She is under investigation regardless of the status of the email investigation.

There's also an open investigation at the IRS. It hasn't gotten the front page headlines, but it's happening:

Where did you read that the reopened email case had been closed? I don't believe that is in yesterday's Comey letter.

They know she is still under FBI investigation for matters other than the email server. This is meant to get anxious TV stations to pull the ads today. Cynical and typical Clinton tactic.

If there was more time in the campaign, I would add the phrase “not currently” ahead of the phrase ‘under investigation’. That should satisfy the legal letter, while leaving the meaning readily obvious to any viewer/listener of the ad.

The case is not closed. It goes back to what Comey said in July. Then he said that no reasonable prosecutor would bring the case. Reasonable might be defined as being aware of Arkanside.
