These are all people who’ve finished up their prison/jail stay and gone “home”. The state will mail them a letter and encourage them to register, but I seriously doubt that more than 5-percent will register. Maybe in five years, there might be 30-percent.

On the list of one-hundred important things to the average felon who got out of prison....voting is probably way over the hundred-point. I’m just not buying into this as being a pay-back agenda. Maybe on paper, it looks good....but show me a study where felons actually went to register to vote. There’s not even a study to show the political persuasion of most felons, drug dealers, or meth-users.

I read that the letter notifying them of their restoration of voting rights included a voter registration form and a stamped addressed return envelope. The article said that this is not done for any other group. I hope it is not true because the Dems have such a powerful ground game that they can easily provide a ride to the polls for every one of them.
