Bush did worse than Reagan, and that was after a near clean sweep by them in 1984.
That win in 84 was just a big enough cushion for 88, that Bush had room to play with.
Obama did far worse in 12 than 08, Hillary has no cushion for error.
Obama received 3.5 million votes less than in 2008, still the second highest vote total in history save for his 2008 vote total. He beat Romney by 5 million votes compared to the 10 million he beat McCain by. Romney received 61 million votes in 2012 or one million more than McCain received in 2008.
The changing demography of the country fueled by mass immigration is changing the electoral map. If we don't reduce LEGAL IMMIGRATION drastically from the current 1.1 million a year, the Dems will become the permanent majority party within a decade. 87% of legal immigrants are minorities as defined by the USG. Immigrants and minorities vote more than two to one Dem. Demography is destiny.
