Taco Bell, the Yum Brands Inc. YUM, -0.02% Mexican fast-food chain, said Friday that it plans to add 100,000 new jobs in the U.S. by 2022 and grow to 9,000 locations nationwide.

Looks like the Syrians are gonna have to learn to make tacos
Up in these parts, the KFC and Taco Bell serve out of the same premises. Double racist.
MEXICO gets automobile factories. AMERICA gets TACO BELL.
I’ve noted the jobs figures presented in the last 24 hours.
Here Taco Bell seems to be joining the “cause”.
While I want to see more jobs, any freaking jobs, I see this as more of a symptom ofthe problem, not less.
Minimum wage service sector jobs are jobs for kids. They are dead end jobs. You can’t support a family on those wages and thus, they are white bread vs whole wheat. And not, I do not want to raise the minimum wage a penny.
We need to get decent paying family supporting jobs back in this nation.
This is just more smoke and mirrors for folks who don’t think beyond the headline.
There is absolutely nothing to gloat about on the jobs front.
Traditionally, and I don’t see any reason for it to have changed, we need something like 350,000 new jobs PER MONTH to keep able bodied people working in this nation. Less and more able bodied people are sitting idle. More and fewer are. At this figure, we’re just treading water.
We’ve gone for years now with sub-par figures of 80,000 to 160,000, with some exceptions. We’re not keeping pace. We’re falling farther and farther behind. Each month there are more able bodied people out of work.
So these happy talk articles, are simply that.
“... You cant support a family on those wages...” Well duh. That’s why the progs want to raise the min wage to $100.00/hr. Of course then the automated fast food stores will open and the humans let go. Well except for the repair/maintenance guys.
Look at it this way, when they figure out they can't make it on $3.00 an hour working at the factory, they can waltz over the border and get a job making $15.00 an hour at Taco Bell.
See...it's a win win for Mexico!
These jobs will be subsidized by Fed.gov. EBT, Obamacare, Medicaid, etc

And doubtless under a Hillary presidency they will be “manufacturing” tacos and burritos.
100,000 robots maybe. There is no way any fast food company will add 1000’s of new workers. Millions $ are being spent on low cost robots for the entire food service industry. Saw a demo of a robot bartender at the FMI show in Chicago,
slow, but did not take time off for breaks and did not take tips!
And, as a +..... non union.
Yes, I agree. Leftists have the wrong answers for every problem.
Great movie.
Mexico should be tickled $hitless!! Now they can send another million of their trashiest “citizens” knowing that they will have jobs and be “well-fed!”
Well, it ain’t like it’s “real” meh-eek-un food. Funny thing, one of my buddies was in TJ a couple of weeks ago and said he wanted some genuine meh-eek-un food and man did he pay for it for 3 days after. Boaf ends.
100,000 jobs!!!!
