It is completely baseless. You think in your wildest imagination a police chief let Ali e one in NYC would speak for actual evidence and release it in public during an investigation? Cmon! Smell test! If I were a defense atty this would be a wet dream as nothing would be admissible in court because the potential juror pool is tainted.
