The law cited in the article, federal law 18 United States Code §1832, is rather narrow and applies to economic espionage and theft of trade secrets. Not sure if it even applies here.

I, sadly, agree with you. The corruption in this government has always been there since day one. It’s just that it’s gotten worse and worse as the years went by. Now the corruption is so deep I don’t see how there’s anyone left to do the prosecuting.
And the first black president’s legacy would headline that for eternity. And the only reason he would do that is so the Clinton’s would not turn on him too. No honor among thieves.

History is replete with honest people who have been blindsided by the corrupt. Ulysses S Grant, was victimized by people he trusted. The author of the article, Ken Sukhia, is an experienced and respected attorney and former Federal prosecutor who has prosecuted many white collar crimes.
He seems to be a credible source.
