Used to be. Last election it went for Romney.
Turns out that the guys running who supported Trump are going to win. The guys and gals who didn’t are going to lose.
What a bunch of crap. The whole GOP should have backed this man.
Why is it, all of us here could see the guy was the real deal from day one.
It’s a good lead for Trump in Michael Brown Country, but Roy Blunt is facing blunt disaster.
Trump Coat Tails?
McCain won it too, but only by a cat’s whisker. Nonetheless, it’s “enough” of a bellwether with that kind of margin.
No more safe spaces left to hide from those micro aggressions.
The good news keeps piling up!
Well, a LOT of us could see he was the real deal. I was disappointed when he didn’t run in 2012.
For reference, Romney won it by 9 and McCain won it by a nose hair, these were the first times ever a Republican carried the state while losing nationally. Bush won it by 7 in 2004.
It’s more Republican now than in the past and no longer a bellwether but 5 points ahead of Romney is quite good.
This Senate race should not be close. Damn it.
I think Blunt holds on though, ala Bunning hanging on in KY in 2004 in the surprise close race of the year.
Good news on the Gov front, tied at 46% in this poll.
Trump has been mentioning support for down-ticket Pubs in a general way, in recent speeches. Would like to see him point out the Senate races as they affect the Supreme Court specifically, and ask the Trump supporters to vote for Pub Senate candidates, even if they have not supported him. Helps Trump look magnanimous and cooperative, and might help save the Senate & the Supreme Court.
If the Senate goes Dem, most of Trump’s efforts, and those of supporters, may be for naught. That may be part of the reason Obama can appear to back Comey, etc.
