I almost felt sorry for the old fool talking about ‘postmarks’ in reference to electronic mail and claiming that the emails originated in Russia.
Not that she would know but even the most malware-infested messages can be opened in a test box, virtual machine, honey trap, etc. with no real risk of damage or infection elsewhere.
It was a dodge, of course, but a lame one made lamer by her display of total ignorance.
