Russ Feingold's bad week just got a little worse.
A a jaw-dropping expose in the Boston Globe , reports that employees of a prominent Democratic law firm in Boston, had been operating a straw donor scheme to benefit various U.S. Senate campaigns since 2010. The law firm, Strouss and Bradley, would have employees give the maximum legal donations to Democratic Senate campaigns and then reimburse them their money as "bonuses."

Feingold was never clean.
I actually have PredictIt money running against Soupy Sales.
I don't believe it was "inadvertently". He knew it was illegal, and did it anyway. That's what he said in his guilty plea.
In May 2014, D'Souza pleaded guilty to one felony count of making illegal contributions in the names of others. D'Souza told Judge Berman, "I knew that causing a campaign contribution to be made in the name of another was wrong and something the law forbids. I deeply regret my conduct."
Hes lost the right to vote forever.
Depends on the State. The trend is to restore felon voting rights in many places. Terry McCauliffe wanted to do it for 400,000 in Virgina alone.
Besides going after sanctimonious, hypocritical windbags like Russ Feingold, everyone remotely associated with this money-laundering scheme should be prosecuted. The attorneys involved should be prosecuted and failing that, disbarment proceedings should commence since disbarment doesn’t require the same level of proof as a criminal conviction. Flush these people from the system.
I’d rather have a half-baked, spineless Republican than any DemonRAT.
Actually, cowardly, go-along-to-get-along legislators aren’t beyond redemption, as long as you have strong leadership to whip them into line.
After all, a vote’s a vote, whether it’s from Jeff Sessions or Lindsey Grahamnesty.
And every now and then, strong leadership can help the weak discover strengths they never knew they had.
"Feingold and McCain cosponsored the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act (McCainFeingold Act), a major piece of campaign finance reform legislation."
The law firm claims it was mislabeled as a bonus, when it was really a payment that resulted in a reduction in partner equity. They changed the label a few years ago after an accountant pointed out that such reimbursement bonuses for political contributions were illegal.
Lawyers lie.
That’s his image. Seems likes it’s a well-crafted lie, what a shock.
The rats can’t win the Senate without this seat.
We had a “clean” rat as Governor here in IL, Pat Quinn, turns out he was pretty corrupt after all and the worst Governor in over a Century.
Perhaps, Mr. DeSouza can give these lawyers some hints.....
Where are the FORM 1099s? ???
They would not fib to the IRS.
If each and every employee received the exact amount (even rounded up) they contributed to the Democratic Party as a “bonus”, it is prima facie evidence of an illegal PAC / money-laundering RICO scheme.
One or two of the employees, especially if they have left the company, will break under pressure and testify for immunity.
[Lawyers lie.]
Got no argument with that!
In “Tucker: The Man and His Dream” Jeff Bridges makes a quote on lawyers and politicians - it’s hilarious. Great movie if you haven’t seen it. Lloyd Bridges was awesome.
I’m sure this will be on all the networks.
Agreed.
I’M SHOCKED, I TELL YOU, SHOCKED.
That any democrat candidate would accept an illegal contribution or any DIRTY MONEY.
OK; sarcasm off.
Can anybody show me an honest, honorable DEMOCRAT; personally I have never met one.
Ron Johnson had been climbing in the polls before this broke. This could salvage his reelection.
“And here I thought Feingold was one of the few clean dems... are there ANY?”
OMG! He’s a total Leftist. Self-serving! Hates the Military like you wouldn’t believe. I had to have PERSONAL interactions with him during Operation Desert Storm/Shield. He’s AWFUL when it comes to supporting the Military and their CHILDREN!
Here’s who supports him; everyone we loathe:

This week they’ve been running an ad about how he’s so good for animals, LOL! I’ll see if I can find the ad...
“The rats cant win the Senate without this seat.”
*BUMP*
I haven’t agreed with Johnson 100%, maybe 80% of the time. But, I would NEVER vote for Feingold. Ever.
Johnson will pull this off. I’m pretty sure. I hope, LOL! I saw a LOT of Johnson signs on the way Up North and back last week.
Hopefully the REST of Wisconsin will overcome the Socialist votes in Dane and Milwaukeestan Counties!
