Seems the first would be a lie, and the 2nd bar them from entry. Either way, they should be deported and flagged for no future admittance.

As a Canadian conservative, I would welcome 20,000 conservatives coming North to help out, like some of Obola’s campaign organizers did during our last federal election.
The problem is, in Alberta, we are stuck with a socialist Provincial gubmint for 3 more years and a Lieberal (read socialist-lite/crony capitalist) gubmint for 3 years, also. Who knows what will be left in 3 years?
As a former canuck, I have given my impression after back and forths twice a year to Vancouver. The US border agents are mean looking but once you answer their questions correctly, they’re OK. I agree that they lied to get into the country. probably said “vacation”.
Canadian border agents are A**HOLES. Always have been. They have that air of arrogance that makes you want to punch them in the face.
Meddling other country’s internal affairs. They should be summarily arrested and deported and never be allowed to enter the US.
