Only in a primary. What use will a dem be to Trump???? NONE! Then you have to try and get rid of him....NO Thanks! Ryan might be shamed into going along with him, if not get rid of him next primary with the weight of the presidency helping to replace him.
Being the stupid party really does not help this situation, nor does it help Trump. Ryan is done unless he becomes a good little Trump soldier in Congress and he knows it.
Guys, this is politics and being smart is the game. You have no leverage if a dem wins that seat. The worst thing that happens if Ryan wins is he is primaried out next election with the full weight of the presidency taking him out.

It is a new House hence a new Speaker is chosen, the Speakership doesn’t automatically continue from one Congress to the next. But the speakership is chosen by the OLD House before the new one is seated. Just another way the scumbag politicians keep the gravy train rolling.
