Pray for Our American Heroes and Nation

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him,
and given Him a Name which is above every name;
That at the Name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of things in heaven,
and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9-11

Heavenly Father,

Great are You, Lord, and worthy of glory! Great are You, Lord, and worthy of praise. We speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty and we bless You for Your wondrous works. May we always utter the memory of Your great goodness, and sing of Your righteousness. For You are gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. You are good to all; and Your tender mercies are over all Your works.

Father, we confess that America must repent of its moral depravity. We are delving deeper and deeper into the pit, and You are the only way out. Help us, Lord. It must start with each one of us. As individuals, help us to hold ourselves to the highest standard---that of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Help us to share the love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness of our Savior with others. Help us to remember the Cross always. Father, You have promised to preserve all who love You. Help us to speak the praise of our Lord, and let all flesh bless Your Holy Name forever and ever. Call the people of this nation to bow before You and may our mouths confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Holy Lord, we know that the help of our military comes from You. We confess that You keep our troops and that You are their shade upon their right hand. You preserve them from all evil, whether they are going out or coming in. Even forevermore, You care for them. Lord, we also pray that Your people, Israel, would be blessed with Your unending grace.

Save us from this present evil day, Lord God. Save us from despair and hopelessness. For we wait for You, Lord; our souls wait, and in Your Word do we hope. Let all of Israel hope in the Lord from now and evermore. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
