I knew you would!
I hope someone is looking into if the Clintons have been cheating w/regard to the STAR program. THAT would not go over well either. And, legally speaking, be a bigger deal than the permit cr@p.
People put up sheds, fences, add a 24" high pool, add a patio...
Property taxes are anti freedom. Assessments are subjective, based on market value, not what was actually paid... fluctuating with what government needs...
I ask consistency in freeper objections, you either want to starve the beast or you are for feeding the beast...
Leona Helmsley, the wicked witch of NYC real estate. Hard fit construction workers trembled when she walked a site. Leona and Hillary in a cursing match would have been a sight.
All I want is the foul Clintons to do what the rest of us little people do. Wake up!
My! What a fantasy! Two loathsome creatures who should have been stifled by their husbands.
There are folks in my neck of the woods paying $7,000 to $10,000 in property taxes on homes between $150,000 to $250,000. All of the owners have had their homes for years, so nobody paid those figs to purchase. Now the owners need/want to sell and can’t find any PDBs to buy. Purchase price not the prob. NO buyer wants to assume the taxes.
Around here, you get caught doing that, work is stopped immediately. NO matter what is going on. Can’t continue until a permit IS pulled, which might be a while since office is only open 3 hrs/day on weekdays. Then the homeowner gets to pay a lovely fine. Think the Toons had to do any of that...?
Uber-Bitch World Title Cage Match, Leona Helmsley vs Hillary Clinton.
Now, THAT’s Entertainment!
Also, cost of the permit is based on the value of the work. It AIN’T a flat fee. So we could be talking big bucks between the cost of the permit/s and any applicable fine. Big bucks to middle class folks, anyway.
I pay $10,000 a year (just went up this month) for a house that will probably bring in $300,000 if I’m lucky, although it was assessed at $365,000 and I had to pay estate taxes on it. The Clintons should be forced to eat dirt and die.
I, of course, want to starve the beast. However, when the head of the beast itself exempts itself from the labors I must exhort to get “permission” to exercise my pursuit of life, liberty and happiness, that frosts my cookies. Per normal, the laws are for the little people.
I concur. If it takes a building inspector to take the Clintons down, well, down they must go.
Sounds like Minnesota.
True but let's think about the media. If this were Jeb's house and he were the nominee it would be front page news from now until the election. But it is Bill and Hillary so the unwashed will hear nothing about this.
They didn’t break any laws, they are above the law!! Doesn’t the town know that they were the first co-president and they could buy any house in any town, but they decided to grant your town their presence. Chappaqua, sue those bastards...
“Good for them. Now lets hang them on what they really did wrong.”
Right and right.
I hear you. I pay even more than that for my property taxes in NJ. Close to $15K.
Before they bought that house in Chappaqua (thanks go VA Gov McAuliffe) and its counterpart in DC, they never owned a house, so how would they know you need permits?
