There are some states that actually allow one who has voted early to show up on election day to have a do-over. To that I say is very, very wrong but I understand the reasons why some may have decided to allow that. The biggest problem with it is again the fraud thing with no ID and such.
This event will definitely make many to rethink the whole vote early concept. My solution would be to keep voting open for 24 hours like some places in New Hampshire and make it only for those 24 hours unless requesting absentee, but make the restrictions on that tougher to qualify for as well.
In exchange: no vote by mail, no early voting, no electronic voting machines, no voting without picture ID.
Of course there would be a few exceptions for those overseas or stuck in hospital beds. But if you're within two hundred miles of your polling place on election weekend and you can move about on your own two feet or by being pushed in a wheel-chair then you have to vote at your polling place.
